So for the last 2 weeks I have been having this issue with Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard Edition. It is supposed to ship with a Screen Reader built-in yet every time I tried to launch it the system would go looking for Microsoft Publisher… what the??? Well, I don’t have Microsoft Publisher so my quest to use Adobe’s screen reader would basically end there. Yesterday I got fead up with this monkey business and decided there must be a way to install the freekin’ thing off the Adobe install disk. There isn’t… so I gracelessly cancelled out of the install midway through. Amazingly enough the next time I tried to use the Adobe Screen Reader (going for the miracle start) it worked perfectly! So, all you frustrated users out there, there is your fix! Begin a clean install of the whole dang package again and cancel out just before it does any real damage and VOILA fixed.
