Shin pads are important · 17 June 07
Here’s what happens when you stand in front of a slapshot wearing the shin pads your dad bought you when you were 14 years old.
Yes, it feels about as bad as it looks. And yes, I bought some new shin pads yesterday.
On the plus side, I scored a goal! It was a fluttery shot from the point… but it went in!
Update – Whoever does the stat keeping for the league gave my goal to Terry and gave me the assist.
